Our activity combines cycling and hiking on forest roads and trails north of Mount Kakkavos, between the villages of Megali Panagia and Paleochori. Our route starts with 5 kilometers of smooth descent by bike parallel to the direction of the river Havria, the largest river in Halkidiki with a length of 59 kilometers and a hike of about 1.5 kilometers on a downhill narrow path to its bed where our destination is the waterfall of Peristeri. The whole route is covered by a beautiful forest with oaks, oak trees, kumarias, plane trees and many places where we can enjoy the beautiful view. The most demanding part of the route is the return as we have to cover 200 m of altitude difference in about 1.5 km of hiking and then cycle another five km of gentle uphill on a forest road. Of course the destination is worth the effort and more.
